“I’ve used volumizing shampoos in the past, but my hair rarely sees any immediate results from using those products. With the Ulo Thickening Shampoo, it was quite apparent as I was drying it that my hair suddenly had more body and bounce,” shared Murillo.

“I love to use conditioners as part of my hair care routine, but unfortunately, my thin hair prevents me from using them regularly,” Murillo explained. “In my experience, conditioners tend to counteract the benefits of any product intended to provide volume and thickness.”

Murillo also mentioned that the conditioner interacted great with dry molding hair products like pomade.
How to apply: After shampooing, apply conditioner and massage gently into hair from mid-lengths to ends. Leave it in for 1 to 2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
The Final Verdict
“While Ulo is on the pricier side for the amount you get in a single container, I definitely think it’s worth the investment,” Murillo said.
He’s used a variety of drugstore shampoos and conditioners and even some more expensive brands, but few have seemed to deliver noticeable results. “Paul Mitchell is normally my go-to brand,” said Murillo. “But, it’s thickening formula has never impressed me.”
After a couple of weeks of using Ulo’s Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner, Murillo’s wife asked him if he was wearing any additional product, because his hair looked shinier and a bit fuller.
“I wasn’t (wearing any product) at that moment, so it’s a good testament to Ulo’s effectiveness,” he noted.
Murillo also pointed out that this shampoo and conditioner are free from sulfates and suitable for a variety of different hair types, including color-treated and chemically processed hair. They’re also eco-friendly and cruelty-free.
